New synchronisation features
Synchronisation of other devices with your account has been vastly improved. Plug-ins now synchronise your calendar, contacts, tasks, and notes for Outlook 2000, Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, PowerPC, and SmartPhones.
Improved small business collaboration
Though our Hosted Exchange is more suited to smaller companies, or those needing more advanced services, the collaboration services available to Webmail/POP/IMAP customers have been much improved, with folder sharing (contacts, calendars, etc.), global address lists, and RSS feeds.
New DomainKey signing option
We offer DomainKey signing for outgoing emails. DomainKey signing is a way of verifying that an email is really from who it says it is from, and if you have ever had a problem with one of your emails being caught in somebody else’s antispam filters, then you may be interested.
Widely used by several large email providers (e.g. Yahoo and GoogleMail), a correctly DomainKey signed email is almost guaranteed to be delivered by any company that do use it.
Users of our Safemailer email campaign system, DomainKey signing has the potential to increase the delivery rate for a large mail shot.
New internal anti-spam measures
Of course all Safeserve’s clients are reputable and trustworthy but malware could infiltrate a client’s network, set up one or more “Zombie Computers” and route spam through our mail server with adverse consequences. To avoid this we now require clients to authenticate by TLS encrypted passwords rather than IP address. We will contact anyone affected.
New measures to control outgoing traffic that looks like spam will only affect unusually large mailings. If you wish to send many emails in one go then please contact us. All business clients get free use of our advanced Email Campaign Management service, SafeMailer.
