To setup your Safeserve POP account in Outlook Express (versions 5 & 6) follow the steps below:
Open Outlook Express and left click the [Tools], [Accounts] menu options:

Left click on [Mail] tab, then [Add] and [Mail] :

This launches the Wizard's welcome screen, which asks you for you real name (that will be displayed to recipients of your emails):

Now add in your email address that you have with us which could be in the form @safeserve.com or @your-own-domain.com that we host for you

Now add in the servers to pick up and send out your email. The incoming mail server is called pop3.safeserve.com and is a POP3 server.
When sending email, you can always send out email via our SMTP server, which is smtp.safeserve.com. No matter how you connect to the Internet, or which ISP (Internet Service Provider) connects you to the Internet, your outgoing email is delivered by our SMTP server,
Type in your full email address and password that we have supplied for you to access your account. Left click on [Remember password] to tick the box.

Click FINISH to go back to the Accounts screen, and CLOSE to return to the Outlook Express main window.

But we are not quite finished! Select [Tools][Accounts] again from the top menu.

Select the [Mail] tab and click on [Properties]
Select the [Servers] tab, and click the box by "My server requires authentication" to enter a tick.
Now we are finished. Click [OK] [Close]. Close Outlook Express by selecting [File] then [Exit] from the top menu.
Restart Outlook Express.
To connect to the internet and receive your email, click the "Send and Receive" button on the Toolbar of Outlook Express.
